There are many factors that include the cost of a cosmetic surgery procedure. While cost is a factor for most patients who are investigating body contouring options, it should never be the only factor or even the most important one. Cheap plastic surgery is a red flag. Be sure to do your homework, read reviews and make several consultations. Find a clinic that you feel comfortable with, not just the surgeon, but the entire staff, from the front desk to the OR tech! Your body transformation should not be trusted to the “budget” liposuction clinic.
What’s Included in the Cost of Liposuction at Imagen?
At Imagen, there are no hidden fees as you may see with other surgeons, your proposal price is the total cost. Some clinics separate the charges for the lipo from the charges for general anesthesia fees, operating room fees or even hospital fees. All procedures are done in our state-of-the-art outpatient surgical facility. The following list outlines the value of what is included in a liposuction surgery at Imagen Body Sculpting.
- Your custom liposuction surgery with Dr Frank Soto Leon, an expert in the field (surgeon’s fee)
- Our advanced laser lipo and skin tightening equipment used in your surgery and all supplies for the procedure (facility fees).
- Anesthesia medication (anesthesiologist fees).
- Limo ride to and from surgery appointment*.
- One-night hotel stay*.
- Post-op care products.
- 2 compression garments.
- All consultation and follow up appointments.
- Professional Post Procedure photos at your 3 month follow up.
The only added expense to your liposuction at Imagen would be your prescriptions, which will include antibiotics and pain medication.
What Influences the Cost of Your Liposuction?
- The complexity of your procedure: For example, the cost for a female to treat her love handles would cost less than a male who wants to have hi definition to his entire torso.
- The number of areas you desire treatment.
- The specific areas where you desire treatment (some areas are more delicate, like the neck, or require more time, like larger areas).
- The type of lipo procedure (laser liposuction vs micro-laser vs vaser vs traditional, etc) and the equipment used.
- Add ons (like skin tightening, BBL, mommy makeover, breast augmentation or tummy tuck).
- The experience of your board certified surgeon.
- Specials and Discounts.
- Financing Credits.
- Location (Miami and Mexico are famous for cheap liposuction, New York and Scottsdale may be more expensive).
How Much Does Liposuction Cost around the Stomach?
The abdomen is the single most commonly requested area for fat removal. It seems that we all have trouble in that area! Pricing is always difficult to do without seeing a patient in person.
While we do offer virtual consultations, it’s always best to be evaluated in person. The only way for your surgeon to know how much skin laxity you have is to be able to feel it. “Around the stomach” can mean a lot of different treatment areas to different people. Technically, your “stomach” is in your upper abdomen, but most patients who ask about stomach are looking for lipo of the abdomen. If you are looking for a nice hourglass shape, you are probably actually looking for lipo 360, which includes the abdomen (upper and lower) and love handles. Some patients want to add their back as well (above the waist and below your armpits, the stubborn back boobs or bra fat). So giving a good price for “around the stomach” is tricky. That being said, the average cost of our liposuction 360 will generally fall between 7-10K.
Single Area Liposuction
There are a variety of areas that are treatable with liposuction including Abdomen, Love-Handles, Inner and Outer Thighs, Chin/Neck, Under Arms, Bra Fat, and more. It is generally true that treating a single area with lipo will cost more than treating that same area in combination with others. This is because the cost to open the OR is the same, whether it’s for a single area or for multiple areas. The additional cost with added areas is related to the surgeons time and expertise.
Multiple Area Liposuction
Many clients wish to have several problem areas treated in one session of liposuction. Oftentimes we can safely treat several areas of the body in one session.
Examples of multi-area liposuction…
- Lipo 360 – Liposuction of the Upper & Lower Abdomen + Flanks (Love Handles)
- Inner Thighs, Outer Thighs & Knees
- Back & Flanks (Love Handles)
- Dorsocervical Fat Pad, aka “Buffalo Hump,” & Back
- Brazilian Butt Lift – Lipo 360 + Fat Transfer
- Upper Arms, Under Arm + Bra Fat
- Chin, Neck & Jowls
- Calves & Ankles
Is liposuction worth getting?
While individual results will vary, overall our patients love their results, some even describe it as “life changing!” One of the most common comments we get on our 3 month testimonials is “I wish I hadn’t waited so long to do this.” On RealSelf (a site recognized for its honest reviews), liposuction has an 87% “Worth It” rating!
Does insurance cover liposuction?
As an elective, cosmetic procedure, insurance unfortunately does not usually cover liposuction. We would always encourage you to talk with your insurance specialist regarding the details of your coverage.
How much does liposuction cost if you have a lot of fat?
The cost of liposuction at Imagen is not dependent on the amount of fat in an area, but rather the number of areas that are being treated. It is possible to do “High Volume” liposuction (more than 5 liters of fat removed per session or a plan for multiple sessions for desired results), but this is generally a more medically risky procedure and should be done by a plastic surgeon, under general anesthesia and in a hospital setting. Ideal candidates for outpatient liposuction are within 30 pounds of their goal weight. Typically (but not always!) that’s a BMI of less than 30.
The Value of Liposuction at Imagen
At Imagen, our physicians are board certified and perform thousands of outpatient procedures each year. Doctors Frank Soto and Jennifer de Soto have almost 2 decades of combined experience and prioritize the most advanced liposuction techniques available with life-changing results. Furthermore, Dr. Frank is one of a handful of surgeons in the country who have been trained in 4D Hi-Definition Liposuction, which combines SmartLipo Triplex with muscle etching. He teaches other physicians around the world the best liposuction techniques.
Your Body & Treatment Plan Are One Of A Kind
At Imagen Body Sculpting and Cosmetic Center, we recognize that every liposuction case is different because every body is different. Our physicians offer a free consultation* to get to know you and discuss your expectations. After a full analysis, our staff will provide a custom quote. Your quote will be all-inclusive with no hidden fees.
Financing options for liposuction
There are a lot of different ways to finance your liposuction procedure. Some of our patients pay in cash, but most of them use some form of financing. We accept Care Credit as well as all major credit cards (you might as well get those rewards points!). We also offer a Lipo-layaway program for those with less than perfect credit.
A Message From Doctors Frank & Jen:
“ We strive to achieve your goals by continually investing in the very latest in treatment technology, and progressing our own ability through progressive Liposuction treatments and education, because your results come first. That being said, we also strive to make your aesthetic goals attainable, so you get the very best value, along with your desired Liposuction result. “
WARNING! Cheap Liposuction is a Red Flag
There are a few reasons why you might find “cheap” liposuction. First, there are likely hidden fees; Second, the physician may not be not board certified or has little experience; Third, the clinic is not providing safe or quality liposuction services. You are trusting someone with your health, safety and confidence…choosing the “cheapest” plastic surgery procedures could result in health risks, irreversible damage, or additional spending to achieve your desired results.

What is liposuction?
In a liposuction procedure, the surgeon makes small incisions and then removes excess fat cells through a cannula connected to a vacuum. At Imagen, we use tumescent (local anesthesia) to avoid the risks associated with general anesthesia. We also use energy based devices such as lasers or ultrasound to improve your results and reduce your recovery time.
What is the difference between liposuction and other weight loss methods?
Liposuction is a focal fat reduction, not an overall weight loss procedure. When you lose weight with diet and exercise, you lose it from all over your body, so 1 pound of weight loss doesn’t make much visible difference in your shape. With lipo, all of that 1 pound is removed from a single area with excess fat, which can make a big difference in that area without changing the other areas of your body.
How much weight can you lose with liposuction?
So what is the average amount of weight you can lose with liposuction? Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. Sculpting your shape and removing stubborn fat deposits is more about inches than pounds and most of our patients lose less than 10 pounds as a direct result of the procedure. So will liposuction make you lose weight? Not much. It is an investment though, and as such patients often make lifestyle changes to protect their investment. It’s not uncommon for patients to continue to lose weight and further improve their body sculpting results through healthy diet and exercise practices.
How long will liposuction last?
The results of any liposuction procedure are permanent. You will always have less fat in the treated area than you would have had without the lipo. That being said, your body was built to store energy for hard times and if you eat more calories than you burn, your body will find somewhere to put them.
What age group is liposuction best for?
We do not typically recommend cosmetic procedures for body sculpting in patients under 20 years old. At younger ages, your body responds well to diet and exercise and having good habits already established will help you maintain body contouring results in the future. As you age, liposuction (as with any surgical procedure) does become more risky. For torso liposuction procedures, a patient should generally be under 65 and in good health.
