Fillers: Restylane (Lyft, Silk, Refyne), Voluma & Juvéderm
It is important to recognize that for all medical procedures, including those performed at Imagen Body Sculpting, individual results and experiences may vary *.
What are Fillers?
Fillers are a nonsurgical method for improving lines and wrinkles and replacing lost facial volume. The best options for fillers are hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in your skin. It helps to maintain the moisture in your skin by attracting water. When you get a filler treatment, the hyaluronic acid will attract water, plumping the area.
Fillers can be used to replace volume in the cheeks, diminish the smile lines around the mouth and improve fine lines and wrinkles just about anywhere.

Am I a good candidate for Fillers?
Almost anyone can expect some improvement with fillers. To be a good candidate, you must have reasonable expectations for what fillers can do for you. It may take several syringes of filler to achieve the effect that you want. If you want a lot of volume, something like Sculptra or Fat Transfer may be a better option for you. You should also be on a good skin care regimen, which will help improve your results even more.
What should I expect with a Filler treatment?
Our experienced physicians perform all of our facial rejuvenation treatments. Filler is a minimally invasive treatment. There is some discomfort associated with the procedure, so we do topical numbing cream and ice for our filler patients. Filler is an office-based treatment and you can expect to see the results immediately*. Our physicians have extensive experience with fillers and have developed a technique to give you natural looking results. You may have some swelling or bruising after a filler treatment.

How long do Filler results last?
How long your filler results last depends on many factors. For most patients, the results will last about 9 months. If you frequently exercise, your body may break down the filler faster than average. Another factor in the duration of the treatment will be which filler you choose. Heavier fillers like Voluma and Lyft will give a longer duration, but can be unnatural feeling in the areas around the mouth. Lighter fillers, which are used for fine lines, may last closer to 6 months.

What are the risks of Fillers? Are Fillers safe?
Hyaluronic Acid filler is a very safe treatment. It has been used in millions of patients world wide and has been FDA approved for treatment of wrinkles in the US since the approval of Restylane in 2006. The most common risk of fillers is swelling and bruising. The area around the mouth is much more likely to bruise than the cheek. The under eye area is another area that tends to bruise. Just in case you develop bruising, you should give yourself at least two weeks to heal before any big event. To reduce the risk of bruising and help improve swelling, you may wish to ice the treatment area before and/or after the injection. Oral or topical Arnica can also help to prevent or treat bruising. Lumps and bumps are also common to feel after a filler treatment. This is normal. As long as the bumps are not visible, they do not require treatment. The most serious complication possible with any filler injection is injection of the filler into a blood vessel. For this reason, a detailed knowledge of facial anatomy and extensive experience is necessary. Our physicians have years of experience with fillers.
How much do fillers cost?
All of our filler treatments are based on the number of syringes of filler used and which type of filler is used. At Imagen, our fillers are only injected by our experienced physicians, we don’t use any nurse injectors. Out most popular fillers are the Restylane family (Lyft, Restylane and Silk), which are $550 per syringe. We do participate in Galderma’s Aspire Rewards (Restylane, Silk, Lyft) and Allergan’s Brilliant Distinctions (Juvederm, Voluma), loyalty programs for filler users. Every time you get a lip filler treatment you earn points. These points can then be redeemed for coupons to use toward your next treatment. You can sign up for Aspire here and Brilliant Distinctions here.
