Fillers Placement Changes With Your Face
Like other areas of our body, the face changes as we age. Over time, the fat pads of the face are decreased, which can cause tired, sad or angry expressions. While it may sound appealing to skip regular filler appointments, permanent fillers cannot accommodate the normal changes of skin. This is important, because you wouldn’t place fillers in the same areas of your face at 40 that you did when you’re 30.

- Smile Lines (Nasolabial folds)
- Sunken Eyes
- Elongated Upper Lip
- Marionette Lines
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers offer instant, long-lasting results (some up to 18 months!), but they are not forever fillers. Our bodies eventually break down the filler, allowing for your doctor to change the placement of the fillers as your face changes over time.

There’s No Turning Back
Another potential problem with permanent fillers is that there is no simple way to remove them. HA fillers can be dissolved using a special enzyme. If you don’t like the result of your fillers or in case of accidental injection into a blood vessel, the filler can be dissolved. The only way to get rid of permanent fillers is by surgical removal.
Because of the potential complications of permanent fillers, at Imagen Body Sculpting and Cosmetic Center, our doctors only use Hyaluronic Acid based fillers. As with any medical treatment, facial filler injections must be performed by a medical doctor with a sound knowledge of the anatomy and a clear understanding of how to manage the potential complications.
